Decanters and carafes are vessels for storing liquids and making them easy to serve to your friends and family.

They serve a number of different purposes depending on their applications. Some wine enthusiasts and Sommeliers recommend decanting wine into specific decanters/carafes to aerate the wine and allow the bouquet to develop before serving. It also works quite well for other liquors and beverages.

Decanters have a stopper on the top and are intended for long term storage although short term works fine as well. Carafes do not have a stopper, and are intended for serving the refreshment on that day. Some patterns are the same, with the difference being with or without a stopper.

Dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended due to inaccessibility of internal storage. Use a flexible brush to clean the inside well.
