This is a tempered product. It can withstand temperature changes from -4°F to 212°F without breaking. You could take a glass out of the freezer and pour boiling water into it and it will not break. It is also microwave safe.

It is 2.5 times more resistant to damage than normal glass. If it breaks because of a very strong shock, it breaks into little pieces so your chances of getting cut is lower.

This glass is non-porous and does not absorb liquids so it's more hygienic.
